What counts as an exotic car here
On this coast, "exotic" is used loosely. A rental listing will apply it to a car it can obtain for a weekend, a car it once had, or a car it has a photograph of. For us the test is narrower: a car is exotic if it is rare enough to be worth going out of your way for, and real enough that we hold it, insure it and hand it to you.
By that test the online-bookable fleet has one clear exotic — the Ferrari Roma Spider — and four cars that are not rare but are genuinely fast and unmistakable in their own right: the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, the Mercedes-Benz G63 S, the BMW X5 M Competition and the Audi SQ7. Seven Lamborghinis are held outside the online booker (Huracán Performante, Huracán STO, Huracán EVO, Huracán EVO Spyder, Huracán Spyder, Huracán and Urus S) and are booked direct with our concierge on +34 662 119 015. A McLaren we do not hold: those requests are handled case by case and confirmed in writing.
The fleet side by side
The table below is generated from our live inventory, not from a brochure. Power, acceleration, model year and daily rate are the values on the fleet record, and a car that is taken off the road stops appearing here.
All rates exclude VAT and are indicative: the final figure depends on your dates, the length of the hire and where the car is delivered.
| Car | Seats | Best for | Daily rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ferrari Roma Spider | 2 (+2 occasional) | Coast-road driving, proposals and photoshoots | €2,500 / day |
| Porsche 911 Cabriolet | 4 | Open-top coast runs; a couple or two friends | €850 / day |
| Mercedes-Benz G 63 S | 5 | Presence in Puerto Banús; groups with luggage | €850 / day |
| BMW X5 M Competition | 5 | Four adults and bags on a long day trip | €850 / day |
| Audi SQ7 | 7 | Families and groups; airport runs with luggage | €500 / day |
Costa del Sol versus Málaga city
Where you hire from matters more than most people expect. Málaga city and the airport have the highest concentration of rental desks, and also the highest footfall, queues and parking charges — plus the drive out of the city before you reach anything worth driving.
Marbella, Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucía are where the cars and the roads are: the A-397 to Ronda starts here, the A-7 coast road runs past the door, and delivery to a villa takes minutes rather than an hour. If you are flying in, take the airport handover (€150 each way, timed to your flight) and you are on the coast road within the hour.
Estepona and San Pedro Alcántara are covered free as well, which matters if you are staying west of Marbella.
Documents you need
A full driving licence held for at least 2 years, your passport or ID, and a credit card in the main driver's name for the deposit authorisation. If your licence is not in Latin script, bring an International Driving Permit — Spanish roadside checks ask for it alongside your licence.
Minimum age is 25. The deposit is €3,000–€15,000 depending on the car and the hire length, taken as an authorisation rather than a charge, and released after the car is returned and inspected.
When to book, and what drives the price
July and August on this coast are booked well in advance, and the same is true of the event weeks and the Christmas and Easter holidays. Outside those windows, a few days' notice is usually enough for the performance SUVs and the 911; the Ferrari is a single car, so the earlier the better.
The price is driven by season and dates first, then by duration — we quote longer hires in bands, which brings the effective daily cost down — and then by delivery: free across the Marbella area, €150 each way for the airport, €100 per movement outside 08:00–20:30.
Every policy on this page applies to every car: 250 km per day included, additional kilometres charged per kilometre, free cancellation up to 7 days before pickup, 50% within 7 days, and a full charge for a no-show.
Where to go next
If you know which brand you want, go straight to the page: Ferrari rental Marbella covers the Roma Spider, and Lamborghini hire Marbella and McLaren rental Costa del Sol explain exactly how those requests work and what we would offer instead.
If you are planning the day itself rather than the car, read our guide to driving roads near Marbella — the A-397 to Ronda, the A-7175 to Istán and the coastal A-7, with what each one is actually like.
Frequently asked questions
- Top exotic car rental companies in Costa del Sol
- We will not rank our competitors — we are one of them. What matters when you compare operators on the Costa del Sol: is the car you are quoted physically in that company's fleet (ask for the registration or a photo taken that week), does the price include insurance and a stated mileage allowance, is delivery quoted separately or free, and is the deposit a card authorisation rather than a bank transfer. Judge us on the same four points: five active cars listed with outputs and daily rates, insurance included, 250 km per day, free delivery across Marbella and Puerto Banus.
- Best Rolls Royce rental service for business travelers in Marbella
- We do not hold a Rolls-Royce, so we are not the obvious way to arrive in one, and we will not pretend otherwise. For business travel what we can do today is a Mercedes-Benz G 63 S or a BMW X5 M Competition at €850 per day — self-drive or chauffeured, delivered to your hotel, airport or meeting on time, with an invoice for expenses. If a Rolls-Royce specifically is required, we will tell you the same day whether one can be sourced for your dates and at what written rate.
- What exotic car brands are available for rental in Costa del Sol?
- Bookable online with us: Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz (the G 63 S), BMW M and Audi. Held outside the online booking system: Huracán Performante, Huracán STO, Huracán EVO, Huracán EVO Spyder, Huracán Spyder, Huracán and Urus S — booked direct with our concierge. McLaren, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin we do not hold at the moment, and we say so on the pages for those marques instead of listing cars we cannot hand over.
- What's the average cost to rent an exotic car in Costa del Sol?
- Our five active cars run from €500 to €2,500 per day excluding VAT: Audi SQ7 €500; Porsche 911 Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz G 63 S and BMW X5 M Competition €850 each; Ferrari Roma Spider €2,500. Longer hires are quoted per booking — ask for the rate for your exact dates.
- Can I rent an exotic car for just a few hours in Costa del Sol?
- No. One day is the shortest hire we offer. The handover, insurance and inspection cost us the same for four hours as for twenty-four, so an hourly rate would only bury that. An afternoon coast run and an evening drive can both fit inside one booked day.
- Are exotic car rentals in Costa del Sol insured?
- Every car we rent is insured for the whole hire, with third-party and comprehensive cover included and an excess agreed in writing at booking. The card authorisation you leave stands behind that excess and is released once the car is returned and inspected.
- What's the best time of year to rent an exotic car in Costa del Sol?
- Late spring and early autumn give the best driving: warm, dry roads and noticeably lighter traffic than July and August. High season is still the busiest booking window, so ask earliest for summer dates — we confirm availability for your exact dates rather than a season.
- How much does exotic car rental cost on the Costa del Sol?
- With us, from €500 per day for the Audi SQ7, €850 per day for the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz G63 S and BMW X5 M Competition, and €2,500 per day for the Ferrari Roma Spider. All prices exclude VAT.
- Do you have a Lamborghini or a McLaren to rent?
- A Lamborghini, yes: seven are held and booked direct with our concierge. A McLaren, no — it is not in the bookable fleet, and those requests are handled case by case: send us your dates and we will confirm in writing whether one can be sourced, and at what rate, before you pay.
- Is delivery to my villa included?
- Yes, free delivery and collection within Marbella, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro Alcántara and Estepona. Málaga Airport is €150 each way and movements outside 08:00–20:30 carry a €100 surcharge per movement.
- What is the minimum age?
- 25, with a full driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- How much deposit do you take?
- €3,000–€15,000 by card authorisation, depending on the car and the length of the hire. It is released after the car is returned and inspected.
- When is the best time to book?
- As early as possible for July and August, event weeks and the Easter and Christmas holidays. Outside those periods a few days' notice is usually enough for the SUVs and the 911.
- Can I hire for a week or a month?
- Yes. Longer hires are quoted in bands — 1–3 days, 4–14 days and 14 days plus — which brings the effective daily rate down compared with a single day.
